Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly operations of aircraft structures, parts, and components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards through meticulous inspection.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare surfaces, apply sealants, and secure fasteners according to established procedures.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly processes and efficiency.
  • Document work performed, including part numbers, serial numbers, and quality checks.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in aircraft assembly, manufacturing, or a related industrial field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or vocational training in aviation maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience working in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environment.
  • Experience with composite materials and advanced fastening techniques.
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
