Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse pipeline of mortgage loan applications, guiding them from initial submission through to successful closing.
- Conduct thorough reviews of loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, ensuring all required documentation is meticulously collected and verified.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, and third-party vendors (e.g., appraisers, title companies) to obtain necessary information and provide timely updates.
- Verify and analyze income, assets, credit history, and property details in strict accordance with all relevant lending guidelines and regulations.
- Efficiently order, track, and meticulously review essential reports such as appraisals, title commitments, flood certifications, and other pertinent documentation.
- Ensure all loan conditions are satisfied and cleared for closing, adhering strictly to compliance regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and accurately submit comprehensive loan files to underwriting, promptly addressing any conditions or stipulations raised.
- Maintain impeccable and detailed records within the loan origination system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Proactively identify and strategically resolve potential issues or discrepancies that could potentially delay loan processing.
- Adhere scrupulously to all federal, state, and company lending policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Loan Processor within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and automated underwriting systems.
- Strong, comprehensive understanding of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs and their respective guidelines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Superior organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail, capable of managing complex documentation.
