Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, offering immediate and enthusiastic assistance.
- Efficiently and carefully handle guest luggage, packages, and belongings, ensuring prompt delivery to and from rooms or vehicles.
- Escort guests to their accommodations, providing a comprehensive and engaging orientation to the room features, hotel facilities, and local area highlights, including nearby attractions like the Blue Lagoon.
- Assist with arranging ground transportation (taxis, shuttles, private cars) and provide accurate information regarding hotel services, amenities, and local points of interest.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism and efficiency, escalating complex matters to the appropriate department or management.
- Maintain a pristine and organized lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
- Collaborate effectively with the front desk, housekeeping, and other operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel safety and security procedures, including the proper handling and safeguarding of guest property.
- Perform various other guest service duties and errands as assigned, always with a helpful and courteous attitude.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong verbal communication in English, with a clear, friendly, and articulate demeanor.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs/23 kg) comfortably and stand/walk for extended periods.
