Key Responsibilities
- Expertly craft a wide range of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, speed, and artistic presentation.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, offering recommendations and enhancing their overall experience.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area, adhering strictly to all hygiene, safety, and licensing standards.
- Accurately manage cash and card transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Assist with comprehensive inventory management, including stock rotation, accurate ordering, and diligent waste minimisation.
- Operate and maintain all bar equipment efficiently, promptly reporting any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Collaborate effectively and seamlessly with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure fluid, harmonious service delivery.
- Adhere to all Scottish licensing laws and company guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol.
- Contribute proactively to the development of new cocktail recipes, seasonal menus, and promotional bar offerings.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and product knowledge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Bartender in a fast-paced, high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
- Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktail recipes, along with an understanding of modern mixology trends.
- Exceptional customer service and outstanding communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and calmly under pressure, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent organisational abilities, strong attention to detail in drink preparation and presentation, and multitasking proficiency.
- Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised cocktail creation, mixology, or relevant hospitality certifications.
- Previous experience with inventory management and stock control systems within a bar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of local Scottish licensing regulations and responsible service practices.
