Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various business lines, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop, validate, and maintain quantitative risk models (e.g., credit risk, market risk, operational risk) to quantify exposure and potential losses.
- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies indicative of risk, preparing detailed reports and presentations for management.
- Monitor adherence to internal risk policies, limits, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank).
- Collaborate with business units, compliance, and internal audit to implement risk mitigation strategies and improve controls.
- Provide analytical support for stress testing scenarios and capital adequacy assessments.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to ensure the risk framework remains robust and effective.
- Communicate risk insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and risk methodologies (e.g., VaR, stress testing).
