Key Responsibilities
- Assist bakers and pastry chefs in the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and icings.
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately following recipes and production schedules.
- Operate and clean bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Shape, proof, and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
- Prepare decorations and garnishes for cakes and desserts, including simple piping and frosting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP principles).
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients.
- Package finished products for display and customer orders.
- Support front-of-house staff with customer service during peak hours, if needed.
- Perform general kitchen duties as required to ensure smooth operations.
