Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze a variety of in vitro and ex vivo laboratory experiments independently or under minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of experimental procedures, results, and analyses in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and other laboratory solutions according to established protocols.
- Perform data analysis, interpret results, and present findings clearly and concisely to internal teams.
- Contribute to the optimization and development of new experimental assays and techniques.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with scientific colleagues across various disciplines and departments.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and updates on project progress.
- Order and manage laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Immunology, or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry).
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and cell culture.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blot, ELISA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with flow cytometry, microscopy, or other advanced imaging techniques.
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Knowledge of preclinical drug discovery and development processes.
