As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our human resources department. You will be instrumental in maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, supporting employee onboarding, and providing general administrative support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing presentations.
- Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Facilitate the new hire onboarding process by preparing new employee files, coordinating welcome packets, and assisting with orientation activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Process HR-related paperwork, such as employment verifications, status changes, and termination documents, with precision and confidentiality.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and report generation.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR professionals.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, training sessions, and company events.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a relevant administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a strong customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) or payroll software.
- Experience working in a large, multinational organization or a pharmaceutical/biotech company.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
