Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems and procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Support incident response activities, including analysis, containment, and recovery.
- Participate in security audits and compliance checks for client systems and internal infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of secure coding guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Monitor security systems for alerts and anomalies, escalating critical issues as needed.
- Research emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of security configurations and processes.
- Provide basic security awareness training to internal staff.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in an IT or cybersecurity role.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS).
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, GIAC certifications).
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) principles.
- Knowledge of German or French is a plus.
