Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Waiters with setting up dining tables, including cutlery, glassware, and condiments, ensuring tables are pristine before guests arrive.
  • Clear tables efficiently and promptly after guests depart, preparing them for the next diners according to restaurant standards.
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring order correctness and presentation.
  • Replenish water glasses and attend to guests' basic needs during their meal, proactively anticipating requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing touchpoints.
  • Assist in dishwashing duties during peak hours or as needed, ensuring a steady flow of clean serviceware.
  • Support kitchen staff by running food and ensuring orders are correctly delivered to the appropriate tables.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with kitchen staff, head waiters, and other team members to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
  • Handle customer requests and inquiries courteously, escalating complex issues or complaints to supervisors when necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to all hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards and regulations at all times.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, including preparing for service and securing the premises.

  • Knowledge of basic food and beverage service techniques and table etiquette.
  • SSCE/OND qualification or equivalent vocational training.
