Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout the local Dallas music scene (live shows, open mics, showcases) to identify exceptional unsigned artists across various genres.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, promoters, and other key industry figures in the region.
- Listen to and evaluate unsolicited demos, online submissions, and independent releases, filtering for quality and potential.
- Provide regular, detailed reports on promising artists, including market analysis, social media presence, and performance potential.
- Stay informed about current music trends, emerging genres, and shifts in consumer preferences.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand Republic Records' reach and talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with the broader A&R team to discuss findings and strategize on artist development.
- Utilize digital platforms and analytics to identify trending artists and monitor their growth.
