Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive research and scouting for new artists, producers, and songwriters across various genres, primarily through digital platforms and local industry events.
  • Manage and organize demo submissions, maintaining a comprehensive database of prospective talent.
  • Provide administrative support to A&R executives, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and processing expense reports.
  • Coordinate studio sessions, travel arrangements, and other logistical needs for artists and producers.
  • Prepare and distribute A&R reports, including streaming data, social media analytics, and competitive analysis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts, including managers, lawyers, and publicists.
  • Assist with contract administration and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Attend live shows, showcases, and industry events to identify emerging talent and network.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for artists and their teams, facilitating communication and support.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all artist and company information.

Required Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in the music industry, preferably within A&R, artist management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated passion for music and an extensive knowledge of current music trends, genres, and emerging artists.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and digital music platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events and studio sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with music production software (e.g., Logic Pro, Pro Tools) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with streaming analytics platforms and social media tracking tools.
