Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled App Developer with expertise in either Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) to join our dynamic software project team in Calabar South. This role is crucial for enhancing our digital banking platforms, developing new features, and maintaining high-performance, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications that serve our extensive customer base. As an App Developer, you will be instrumental in the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android or iOS platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive customer data.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
- Assist in the deployment process and provide ongoing support for applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in either Kotlin/Java for Android development OR Swift/Objective-C for iOS development.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks and methodologies.
