Job Description
We are seeking a talented and highly creative Animator – Motion Graphics Specialist to join our dynamic marketing and communications team in Uvira, South Kivu Province. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bringing our brand stories to life through captivating visual content. You will conceptualize, design, and produce engaging motion graphics for a variety of platforms, including digital campaigns, social media, television commercials, internal communications, and presentations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in 2D and basic 3D animation, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling principles. You will collaborate closely with marketing managers, content creators, and other designers to ensure all animations align with our brand identity and communication objectives, captivating our diverse audience across the DRC. Key Responsibilities
- Design and create compelling motion graphics, animated videos, and visual effects for various digital and broadcast platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualize and storyboard new animation projects from initial brief to final delivery.
- Ensure all motion graphic content adheres to Vodacom's brand guidelines, visual identity, and communication strategies.
- Edit and enhance existing video content with motion graphics, titles, and visual effects to improve engagement and clarity.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques in motion graphics and animation to continuously improve our visual output.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality production standards.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative ideas and solutions for visual communication challenges.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrable portfolio of motion graphics and animation work.
- Excellent sense of design, typography, color theory, and composition.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into visually engaging and easy-to-understand animations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus.
- Experience working within the telecommunications industry or a large corporate environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in Swahili or other local languages relevant to the region.
