Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to deliver innovative features and user-centric experiences.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, including identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team.
  • Implement automated unit and integration tests to ensure application robustness and stability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, technologies, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
  • Work with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and post-launch support.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Android Developer, with a strong portfolio of applications (personal or professional).
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
  • Deep understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and JSON/XML parsing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with modern Android architecture components (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Experience writing automated tests using JUnit, Espresso, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry or developing applications for regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with or interest in Hebrew language (to support potential interactions with diverse teams or users).
