As an Alarm Technician, you will be the frontline representative of our commitment to excellence, responsible for ensuring that all systems are installed to the highest standards, function flawlessly, and are meticulously maintained. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot various security alarm systems, including intrusion alarms, access control systems, and CCTV surveillance systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on installed security systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in existing alarm systems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the most effective placement and configuration of security devices.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on the proper operation and maintenance of their installed security systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in security technology and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security alarm systems (intrusion, access control, CCTV).
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, wiring diagrams, and network configurations.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment (multimeters, network testers, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various client sites within Calabar and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant technical certification (e.g., in electronics, electrical engineering, or security systems).
  • Experience with specific alarm brands or software platforms (e.g., Bosch, Honeywell, Hikvision, Dahua).
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing field service role.
  • Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals.
  • OND/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
