Key Responsibilities
- Greet passengers warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including verifying travel documents and issuing boarding passes.
- Manage baggage handling, ensuring proper tagging and adherence to airline regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding flight schedules, delays, cancellations, and gate changes.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, passengers requiring wheelchairs, and those with disabilities.
- Handle passenger inquiries, resolve issues, and address complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Facilitate efficient boarding processes, ensuring all passengers are accounted for and flights depart on time.
- Operate airport systems and equipment, including check-in kiosks and gate scanners.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and security procedures and protocols set by Air Canada and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate effectively with ground crew, flight attendants, and other airport personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Process ticket changes, upgrades, and other customer requests as needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the airline, hospitality, or travel industry.
- Fluency in additional languages, especially French.
- Familiarity with airport operations and travel regulations.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
