Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Sort and transport luggage to and from the terminal and designated aircraft within tight deadlines.
- Operate and maintain ground support equipment (e.g., tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors) safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, operational procedures, and airline policies.
- Perform manual lifting of baggage weighing up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a frequent basis.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other airport personnel.
- Assist with aircraft pushback and wing-walking procedures as required.
- Handle all tasks in an outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions.
Required Skills
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs (32 kg) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous work or personal commitments.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and other security clearances.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
