Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess plant health, growth, and development across various crop cycles within CEA systems.
- Collect and analyze crop data, including yield, nutrient uptake, and environmental parameters, to identify areas for optimization.
- Assist in the planning and execution of agronomic trials and research projects to develop improved cultivation protocols.
- Implement and maintain precise nutrient delivery programs, ensuring optimal plant nutrition.
- Identify and diagnose plant diseases, pests, and physiological disorders, and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental control strategies (temperature, humidity, CO2, light).
- Collaborate with the Farm Operations team to ensure seamless execution of growing plans and crop management activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all agronomic activities, observations, and experimental results.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas for enhancing farm efficiency and productivity.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards within the farm environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of plant physiology, plant nutrition, and soilless culture (e.g., hydroponics, aeroponics).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and basic reporting tools (e.g., Excel).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and farming practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant agricultural science discipline.
- Previous internship or practical experience in a farm, research institution, or controlled environment agriculture setting.
- Familiarity with advanced hydroponic, aeroponic, or aquaponic growing techniques.
