Job Description

Are you a skilled Technical Writer with a passion for transforming complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation? In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience of our cutting-edge products, primarily focusing on developer documentation, API guides, user manuals, and online help content for our diverse range of software solutions, including elements of Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality technical documentation for Adobe's software products, including user guides, API references, release notes, FAQs, and online help.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and quality assurance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.
  • Translate complex technical information into easily understandable language for various audiences, including end-users, developers, and administrators.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather information from subject matter experts, product specifications, and hands-on product interaction.
  • Implement and enforce documentation standards, style guides, and terminology to maintain consistency across all materials.
  • Manage documentation projects from inception to delivery, adhering to project timelines and release schedules.
  • Participate in usability testing and gather user feedback to continuously improve documentation effectiveness.
  • Stay current with product changes, industry trends, and documentation tools and technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing for software products.
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Oxygen XML, Markdown editors, or similar content management systems).
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum).
  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, syntax, and punctuation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, English, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe products (e.g., Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DITA or other XML-based authoring environments.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python) to understand code examples and concepts.
  • Portfolio demonstrating previous technical writing work.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
