As a Remote Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the accounts payable cycle. This includes receiving, verifying, and processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing payment runs. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle Accounts Payable process, from invoice receipt to payment execution, for multiple entities.
- Accurately review, verify, and process a high volume of vendor invoices and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
- Perform regular vendor statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly or bi-weekly payment runs via various methods (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, checks).
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment queries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of AP workflows.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for AP processing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal, using virtual communication tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., FAP, AAT) is a plus.
