Key Responsibilities
- Assist editors and journalists with content research and fact-checking.
- Proofread and edit articles, reports, and other content for grammar, style, and accuracy.
- Contribute to content creation for various platforms, including articles, blog posts, and social media updates.
- Support the digital team with content uploading, formatting, and basic CMS (Content Management System) tasks.
- Participate in editorial meetings and contribute fresh ideas for topics and content angles.
- Learn about copyright laws, journalistic ethics, and media regulations in Mauritius.
- Provide administrative support to the editorial department as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.
