As a Threat Intelligence Intern, you will play a crucial role in our cybersecurity team’s efforts to anticipate, detect, and respond to cyber threats. You will learn about various threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and how to leverage threat intelligence platforms and tools. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and analysis of threat intelligence data from various internal and external sources (e.g., open-source intelligence, dark web forums, industry reports).
- Support the monitoring of security alerts, logs, and events to identify potential indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of threat actor profiles, attack methodologies, and vulnerability databases.
- Research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques relevant to the telecommunications sector.
- Help prepare concise and actionable threat intelligence reports and briefings for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and incident response teams to understand current security challenges and support ongoing investigations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in cybersecurity.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking fundamentals, and operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Portuguese is a significant advantage).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of curiosity, self-motivation, and a strong desire to learn about threat intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools or platforms (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) for data manipulation or automation.
- Prior exposure to threat intelligence frameworks or methodologies.
