Job Description

Are you a natural communicator with a passion for building vibrant online communities? Elisa Oyj is seeking a proactive and empathetic Full-Time Community Moderator to join our dynamic team in Helsinki. In this vital role, you will be the guardian and ambassador of our online platforms, ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all our users. You’ll be at the forefront of customer interaction, fostering lively discussions, providing support, and representing the Elisa brand with integrity and enthusiasm. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to mediate conflicts while upholding our community guidelines. You will play a crucial part in shaping our online presence, enhancing user experience, and providing valuable insights to our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and moderate user-generated content across various Elisa online forums, social media channels, and community platforms to ensure compliance with company guidelines and terms of service.
  • Engage with community members in a friendly, professional, and supportive manner, answering questions, facilitating discussions, and encouraging positive interactions.
  • Identify and address potential conflicts, misinformation, or inappropriate content promptly and effectively, applying moderation policies consistently.
  • Escalate complex technical issues, customer service inquiries, or severe policy violations to relevant internal teams for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Elisa's products, services, and brand voice to accurately represent the company in all community interactions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and insights from community discussions to marketing, product development, and customer service teams to inform future strategies.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of community guidelines, FAQs, and moderation best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, community management tools, and social media platform updates.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken, at a professional working level.
  • Proven experience in online community management, moderation, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in fast-paced online environments.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, online forums, and digital etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High level of digital literacy and comfort with various online tools and software.
