Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and conduct exploratory testing on new features and existing functionalities across web and mobile platforms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using our bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with software development engineers and product managers to understand requirements and user stories.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, providing clear and concise updates on testing progress and issues.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive test plans and test data.
- Learn and contribute to the development of automated tests under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for process improvements within the QA team.
- Continuously expand knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing concepts.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply them effectively.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with general computer applications and web browsers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Exposure to basic programming concepts or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Understanding of basic database concepts (SQL) and API testing principles.
- Any prior experience (even academic projects) with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira) or test management tools.
