Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Event Manager to join our esteemed team. This pivotal role will be based in our Isolo facility, focusing on curating and executing a diverse range of events that uphold the Eko Hotel & Suites’ legendary standards of luxury and excellence. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary with a meticulous eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering flawless events. From initial client consultation and concept development to on-site execution and post-event analysis, you will manage every facet of event planning. This role requires a professional who can expertly navigate client needs, manage vendor relationships, lead a dedicated team, and ensure every event surpasses expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, organization, and execution of various events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, social gatherings, and banquets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring their vision is translated into a successful event.
- Develop detailed event proposals, budgets, timelines, and logistical plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as F&B, Banqueting, Housekeeping, Sales, and Engineering to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage external vendors (e.g., florists, decorators, entertainers, A/V suppliers) to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
- Conduct site inspections and walk-throughs with clients and vendors.
- Oversee event set-up, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all aspects adhere to safety standards and client specifications.
- Manage on-site event staff, providing clear instructions and supervision to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues during event planning and execution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, event technologies, and competitor activities.
- Prepare post-event reports, gather feedback, and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in event management, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing event teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Creative flair with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Preferred Qualifications
