Job Description

Kouba’s Deli & Bakery in Czech Village, Cedar Rapids, is urgently seeking a dedicated On-site Delivery Driver to join our growing team. Your day will involve navigating Cedar Rapids, meticulously verifying order accuracy, safely transporting goods, and engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver food orders, catering, and bakery items to customers within Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Load and unload delivery items with care, assisting customers with placement if required for catering orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction, representing Kouba's Deli & Bakery professionally.
- Handle payment transactions accurately and securely when necessary.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, both interior and exterior.
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Assist with other store duties during downtime, such as packing orders, light cleaning, or stocking, as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a delivery or customer service role.
- Knowledge of Cedar Rapids streets and surrounding areas.
