Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and park vehicles in designated areas on the lot, within the showroom, and in the service bays.
- Ensure all new and used vehicles are clean and presentable, including washing, vacuuming, and performing light detailing as required.
- Conduct routine checks of vehicle fluids, tire pressure, and fuel levels, reporting any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
- Maintain the organization, tidiness, and cleanliness of the entire vehicle lot, showroom, and service drive-through areas.
- Assist in receiving new vehicle inventory, carefully documenting arrivals, and preparing vehicles for display according to dealership standards.
- Transport vehicles between dealership locations or for off-site services such as detailing, inspections, or specialized repairs as needed.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as jump-starting vehicles, ensuring battery health, or changing license plates.
- Adhere strictly to all dealership safety protocols and traffic laws while operating vehicles on company property and public roads.
- Support sales and service teams by retrieving vehicles promptly for customer test drives or scheduled service appointments.
- Assist with seasonal lot maintenance, including snow removal, salting, or general landscaping tasks as required to ensure safe and accessible premises.
Required Skills
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely and proficiently.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of vehicle presentation and lot organization.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance.
- Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., parking attendant, car wash attendant, general laborer) is a plus, but not required.
- A keen interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
