Job Description
Flashpoint Studios is seeking a highly creative and skilled Photographer to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted role requires an individual who is equally adept at managing studio sessions and capturing the essence of live events. You will be responsible for producing high-quality photographic content that meets our clients’ needs and aligns with Flashpoint Studios’ artistic standards. From conceptualizing shoots to final post-production, your expertise will be crucial in delivering exceptional visual stories. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute professional photography sessions in our studio, including portraits, product shots, and commercial photography.
- Cover a wide range of live events such as weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, and social gatherings, capturing key moments and emotions.
- Operate and maintain professional camera equipment, lighting, and other studio accessories.
- Edit and retouch photographs using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to ensure high-quality, consistent output.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific photographic needs and vision, providing creative input and guidance.
- Manage and organize photographic assets, ensuring proper backup and archiving of all images.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire photography process, from initial consultation to final delivery.
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Assist in the development of new photography packages and marketing materials.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Expert knowledge of studio lighting techniques and natural light manipulation.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of composition, exposure, and color theory.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse clients.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing studio and event photography work.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, for event coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Familiarity with graphic design principles for photo album layout and print preparation.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial photography studio.
