Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate aircraft in accordance with company policies, national regulations (NCAA), and international standards (ICAO).
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and post-flight procedures.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control, cabin crew, and ground operations.
- Monitor aircraft systems and flight conditions, making timely and sound decisions to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all Arik Air's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Exercise sound judgment and strong leadership skills in routine and emergency situations.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and decorum while representing Arik Air.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to maintain proficiency and expand knowledge.
- Ensure passenger comfort and provide excellent customer service where applicable.
Required Skills
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) from NCAA (or convertible equivalent).
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Type Rating on Boeing 737 or Bombardier CRJ aircraft (or similar fleet type).
- Minimum of 1500 total flight hours, with at least 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command on multi-engine commercial aircraft.
- Proficiency in English (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, weather patterns, and aircraft systems.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
- High level of integrity, discipline, and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional type ratings on other commercial aircraft.
- Previous experience flying within the West African region.
- Instructor or examiner rating.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
