Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in planning and implementing daily activities for children aged 0-5 years.
- Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and nap times, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic daycare environment, including sanitizing toys and play areas.
- Provide basic care for children, such as changing diapers, assisting with potty training, and helping with feeding.
- Observe and document children's behavior and development, reporting any concerns to lead educators.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through respectful and clear communication.
- Support the emotional and social development of children by encouraging positive interactions and conflict resolution.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with young children (0-5 years) in a childcare or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and adults.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Basic knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong understanding and commitment to child safety and hygiene practices.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR for infants and children.
- Previous experience in a community-based or non-profit childcare setting.
