Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and product development, to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within the finance and accounting functions.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of remote accounting professionals (if applicable), fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Assist with external audits and regulatory compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday Financials)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience in the FinTech or technology industry
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software
