Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and product development, to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within the finance and accounting functions.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of remote accounting professionals (if applicable), fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Assist with external audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday Financials)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA certification
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience in the FinTech or technology industry
