As a Junior Cleaner Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards. You will work under the direct guidance of the Housekeeping Manager, assisting in the daily coordination, supervision, and motivation of our dedicated team of cleaners. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising the day-to-day activities of the cleaning staff during the day shift, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Conduct regular, thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure strict adherence to Golden Tulip's stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance, coaching, and motivation to cleaning team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Participate actively in hands-on cleaning duties as required, leading by example and demonstrating proper cleaning techniques and efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linen, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained, stored safely, and operated correctly by the team, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, safety hazards, or guest complaints to the appropriate department or supervisor.
  • Assist in developing and implementing daily cleaning schedules and assigning tasks to team members.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and courteously, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily cleaning progress, staff attendance, and inventory usage.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in professional cleaning or housekeeping, preferably within a hospitality environment.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give clear instructions.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Physical stamina and agility to perform cleaning duties and stand for extended periods.
