Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and maximizing warehouse space utilization.
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, using appropriate manual or mechanical handling equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (1+ year preferred).
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and WMS interaction.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
