As a Retail Stocking Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing incoming inventory, rotating products to ensure freshness, and accurately placing items on the sales floor. You will become an expert in our store layout, helping customers locate products when needed, and supporting fellow team members. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and store products in the backroom, ensuring proper rotation and inventory control.
- Replenish shelves, displays, and coolers on the sales floor with new stock.
- Ensure products are correctly priced, faced, and aesthetically pleasing on shelves.
- Assist with inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in both the backroom and sales floor.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks (training provided if needed) safely.
- Support fellow team members and provide assistance to customers as required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Identify and report damaged or expired products.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stocking role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
