Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent Production Operator to join the dynamic team at Dangote Group in Uyo. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.
- Record production data, equipment parameters, and quality control metrics accurately.
- Conduct minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or process deviations to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Production Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and production schedules.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND/Trade Test certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with specific industrial control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
- Certification in occupational safety and health.
- Ability to perform basic analytical tests on materials.
