Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues to all users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripheral equipment, and network devices.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, escalating complex issues to senior ICT personnel when necessary.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and email configurations.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all ICT assets and manage software licenses.
  • Conduct user training on new software, hardware, and IT best practices.
  • Assist in the implementation of new ICT projects and initiatives.
  • Document technical procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and protocols, raising user awareness on cyber security best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners).
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory).
  • Basic knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in an ICT Support or Helpdesk role.
