Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items, showcasing specials and new offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with grace and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for various meal services or events.
- Contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Knowledge of different types of cuisine and beverages.
- Fluency in multiple languages (especially local languages) is a plus.
