Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using various online databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), statutes, regulations, and case law precedents relevant to ongoing cases.
- Assist lawyers and paralegals in preparing legal documents, including memos, briefs, affidavits, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, proper citations, and adherence to legal formatting standards.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files with precision, ensuring all documentation is current, confidential, and easily retrievable.
- Verify citations and factual information within legal documents to ensure precision and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Monitor legal developments and update relevant research materials and firm knowledge bases as needed to keep the team informed.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing presentation materials.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, reporting research findings clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner.
- Assist with other general office duties and special projects as assigned to support the overall efficiency and success of the legal practice.
- Develop a strong understanding of various areas of law and legal procedures through active participation and learning.
Required Skills
