Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the corporate building and premises, both internal and external, ensuring all areas are secure.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly to any irregularities or suspicious activities.
  • Manage access control systems, verifying identities and issuing visitor passes in accordance with company policy.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, following established protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily log entries, and other required documentation.
  • Provide a visible security presence, deterring unauthorised access and criminal activity.
  • Assist employees and visitors with security-related enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Liaise with emergency services when necessary and cooperate with investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Conduct routine checks on security equipment to ensure functionality and report any defects.

Required Skills

  • SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV license (valid and in date)
  • Proven experience in a corporate security environment
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Proficiency in using security monitoring equipment and software
  • First Aid at Work certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within the financial services sector
  • Experience with incident management and emergency response planning
  • Knowledge of physical security systems (e.g., access control, intruder detection)
  • Customer service training or experience in a client-facing role
