Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the corporate building and premises, both internal and external, ensuring all areas are secure.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly to any irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Manage access control systems, verifying identities and issuing visitor passes in accordance with company policy.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily log entries, and other required documentation.
- Provide a visible security presence, deterring unauthorised access and criminal activity.
- Assist employees and visitors with security-related enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Liaise with emergency services when necessary and cooperate with investigations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant legal requirements.
- Conduct routine checks on security equipment to ensure functionality and report any defects.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV license (valid and in date)
- Proven experience in a corporate security environment
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Proficiency in using security monitoring equipment and software
- First Aid at Work certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within the financial services sector
- Experience with incident management and emergency response planning
- Knowledge of physical security systems (e.g., access control, intruder detection)
- Customer service training or experience in a client-facing role
