In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our passengers, shaping their initial impression and ensuring a smooth start to their journey. Your day will involve a variety of crucial tasks, from warmly greeting passengers and efficiently processing check-ins to carefully handling baggage and resolving travel-related queries with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
Working in a fast-paced airport environment, you will be responsible for verifying travel documents, issuing boarding passes, and ensuring all luggage complies with airline regulations. You’ll also assist passengers with special needs, provide information on flight schedules, gate changes, and other essential travel details. Beyond the desk, you’ll play a critical role in the behind-the-scenes operation, ensuring baggage is tagged correctly and routed to the appropriate flights, contributing directly to the safety and efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Greet passengers with a friendly and professional demeanor, assisting them throughout the check-in process.
- Verify passenger travel documents, including tickets, passports, and visas, ensuring compliance with airline and destination regulations.
- Issue boarding passes and baggage tags accurately and efficiently.
- Weigh and measure baggage, ensuring adherence to airline baggage policies and collecting applicable fees for excess luggage.
- Provide passengers with accurate information regarding flight schedules, boarding times, gate numbers, and connections.
- Assist passengers with special requests, including those requiring mobility assistance, unaccompanied minors, or special care.
- Handle passenger inquiries, resolve issues, and address complaints effectively and courteously.
- Collaborate with ground operations and baggage handling teams to ensure timely and correct baggage transfer.
- Adhere strictly to all safety, security, and operational procedures and regulations.
- Operate airport equipment such as common-use terminal equipment (CUTE) and baggage handling systems.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm approach to challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
