As a Geospatial Mapping Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw field data into precise and actionable geospatial products. Your work will directly support our diverse projects, ranging from large-scale infrastructure development to detailed land parcel mapping for municipal, commercial, and residential clients. You will be instrumental in the processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial information, utilizing industry-standard software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and specialized surveying packages, along with cutting-edge methodologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Process raw survey data (e.g., GPS, total station, lidar) using specialized software and established workflows.
  • Create, edit, and maintain geospatial datasets, maps, and drawings using GIS and CAD software.
  • Perform data quality control and assurance to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of geospatial products.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior technicians, land surveyors, and project managers to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Learn and apply new geospatial technologies, software, and methodologies as required.
  • Maintain organized project files, databases, and digital archives in accordance with company standards.

Required Skills

  • Foundational understanding of GIS principles, spatial data concepts, and mapping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications
