Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical processes and equipment within an industrial setting.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify areas for improvement and ensure operational efficiency and product quality.
- Participate in pilot plant and full-scale plant trials, including meticulous data recording, observation, and initial analysis.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process safety management (PSM) protocols and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Support senior engineers in preparing comprehensive technical reports, detailed project documentation, and accurate process flow diagrams.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews and research to support new process development or enhancements of existing processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Research & Development, Production, and Quality Assurance, to achieve project goals.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Strong foundational knowledge of core chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and reaction kinetics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a chemical manufacturing or process industry setting.
- Familiarity or experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
- Understanding of laboratory analytical techniques and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.
- Basic proficiency in Hebrew (reading, writing, or speaking) is considered a significant advantage.
