Benevity is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator for an immediate hire to join our growing HR team in our vibrant Beltline office. This pivotal role is essential in shaping the initial experience of every new Benevity employee, ensuring a smooth and engaging transition into our unique culture.
As our Onboarding Coordinator, you will be the friendly face and guiding hand for our new hires, from the moment they accept their offer to their successful integration into their teams. You will manage the entire onboarding lifecycle, coordinating all necessary activities, paperwork, and introductions to set our employees up for success. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, troubleshoot challenges, and consistently deliver a positive and professional experience. You’ll work closely with various departments, including IT, payroll, and hiring managers, to ensure a seamless and memorable start for everyone. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
- Prepare and distribute new hire offer letters, welcome kits, and all necessary HR documentation.
- Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and department managers to ensure new hires have necessary equipment, system access, and workspaces ready on their start date.
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions, covering company policies, benefits, and culture.
- Process all new hire paperwork, including background checks, employment verification, and HRIS data entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during their first few weeks, addressing questions and providing support.
- Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding processes and materials to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance throughout the onboarding process.
- Assist with offboarding procedures and other HR administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in an HR coordination or similar administrative role, with a focus on onboarding.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with an HRIS like Workday or similar platforms.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., CPHR candidate or designation).
- Experience in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
