Job Description

Jumia Nigeria is seeking motivated Delivery Partners to join our expanding logistics network in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo. As a Delivery Partner, you will be an independent contractor responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of packages from our hub to customers’ doorsteps within designated areas of Uyo. This role offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule, utilize your own vehicle (motorcycle or van preferred), and grow your earnings based on your commitment and performance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering orders promptly and professionally, acting as the face of Jumia to our valued customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive on autonomy, possess strong navigational skills, and are dedicated to providing exceptional service. We are looking for partners who are familiar with Uyo’s road networks, possess a valid rider’s or driver’s license, and have access to a reliable smartphone to utilize our dedicated delivery application. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently pick up packages from the Jumia hub or designated collection points.
- Navigate routes within Ewet Housing Estate and surrounding areas of Uyo using a smartphone application.
- Deliver packages to customers' doorsteps in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify recipient details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Handle cash payments or electronic transactions as required, accurately reconciling daily earnings.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers and the Jumia logistics team.
- Ensure the proper care and maintenance of your delivery vehicle (motorcycle, car, or van).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Represent Jumia with a positive and customer-focused attitude during all interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Rider's or Driver's License (appropriate for vehicle type)
- Ownership of a reliable smartphone with internet access
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and understand maps and GPS directions
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Reliable delivery vehicle (motorcycle or small van preferred)

- Previous experience in courier, delivery, or logistics services
