Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated Housekeeper to join the esteemed team at Trident Hotel Port Antonio. This vital role is at the heart of our operation, directly impacting the comfort, satisfaction, and overall experience of our discerning guests. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the impeccable cleanliness and pristine condition of our luxurious guest rooms, villas, and public areas. Your day-to-day will involve a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks, from making beds with precision and flair to sanitizing bathrooms, dusting all surfaces, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and restocking amenities. Beyond the routine, we look for individuals who possess a keen eye for detail, noticing and rectifying even the smallest imperfections. You will be instrumental in identifying maintenance needs, reporting them promptly to ensure swift resolution, and upholding the aesthetic integrity of our property. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms, villas, and public areas according to hotel standards, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Replenish guest room amenities, towels, and supplies efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance needs, damages, or safety hazards and report them promptly to supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of corridors, service areas, and linen closets.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and discretion, ensuring exceptional service.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with laundry and pressing duties as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including those pertaining to health, safety, and hygiene.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and pulling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and safe handling procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in hospitality or housekeeping operations.
- Familiarity with luxury hotel standards and guest expectations.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., French, Spanish) is a plus.
