Job Description

Are you a data-driven storyteller with a passion for uncovering compelling marketing insights? BCLC is seeking a talented and proactive Marketing Insights Analyst to join our team, working remotely from Sahali, Kamloops, or anywhere within British Columbia. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex marketing data into actionable strategies that enhance player engagement, optimize campaign performance, and inform business decisions across our diverse portfolio of lottery, casino, and online gaming products. You will be at the forefront of understanding market trends, consumer behaviour, and campaign effectiveness, providing the intelligence needed to maintain BCLC’s position as an industry leader. You’ll analyze data from various sources, including digital analytics, customer databases, market research, and campaign performance metrics, to develop comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various marketing channels (digital, social, traditional) and customer databases.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting dashboards to track key marketing KPIs and provide regular performance updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and recommendations for marketing and product teams.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, player behaviour, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, data scientists, and business intelligence teams to ensure alignment of insights with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of A/B tests and other experimental designs to optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to various levels of management, clearly articulating the impact on business outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve analytical methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing analytics, business intelligence, or insights role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, social media analytics).
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) for advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with customer segmentation and lifetime value analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
