Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, individualized vocal instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels (beginner to advanced).
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to student goals, focusing on vocal technique, breath control, pitch, rhythm, interpretation, and performance skills.
- Prepare students for various musical opportunities, including recitals, auditions, examinations (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity), and public performances.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure optimal development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall musical curriculum and participate in academy events and productions.
- Stay current with best practices in vocal pedagogy, music education trends, and industry standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a vocal coach or singing teacher.
- Demonstrated expertise in vocal anatomy, physiology, and diverse vocal techniques across various genres (e.g., classical, pop, jazz, musical theatre).
- Excellent piano accompaniment skills for teaching purposes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and adapt teaching styles accordingly.
- A passion for music education and a commitment to student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant musical discipline.
- Experience with online vocal coaching platforms and digital music tools.
- Professional performance experience as a vocalist.
- Knowledge of music theory and harmony.
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
