Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process all customer transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
- Greet customers warmly, provide excellent customer service, and assist with any queries or concerns regarding purchases or store services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, ensuring shopping bags, receipt paper, and other essentials are readily available.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are reported promptly.
- Scan goods, ensure proper pricing, and accurately apply discounts, promotions, or loyalty program benefits.
- Assist customers with bagging their purchases efficiently and carefully when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to cash handling, security, and fraud prevention.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment for all patrons.
- Be knowledgeable about current promotions, store layout, and product locations to better assist customers with their shopping needs.
- Process returns, exchanges, and voids according to company guidelines and management instructions.

- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC).
- Previous experience (even informal) in a retail, cashier, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic transaction procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for system operations.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
