Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical and operational issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisory staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and environmental regulations.
- Record production data, equipment parameters, and quality control measurements accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and schedules.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production discrepancies immediately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Production Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to operate and monitor complex machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND or Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Experience in the cement, food, or general manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO standards).
- Forklift operation certification.
- First aid and basic fire safety training.
